Certification and Accreditation

SGBI focuses on sustainability, the social and governance aspects of the project must be considered. To be eligible to be rated using the tool, projects meet the basic standards by being approved by regulators. This includes the Building Code, Zoning Regulations, Development Control Guidelines and Frameworks such as the AAK Healthy Homes Guidelines Checklist and the Integrated & Inclusive Infrastructure Framework (3IF) 

Steps For Project Accreditation

Green Buildings Are Classified Based On This Scoring System:

All buildings that adhere to the requirements implied in this rating tool shall be eligible for green building certification at the classification of Class A, Class B, Class C or Class D. 

Scoring Methodology

SGBI highlights best practices in building construction, operation and maintenance so as to reduce or eliminate the adverse impact of buildings on the environment and occupants. The scoring system for green buildings is based on these 7 performance categories.
